Palmistry: Your Hand Is a Map that MOVES….Lines on Your Palm DO Change Over Time

Map of the (Changing) Lines on the Palm
Reader Katia posed an interesting question, which I’d like to take up in this post. She asked,
“How can palm reading be a good way of divination when the lines on the palm do not change since birth, unless there is scarring throughout life? If someone believes in divination attained through palm reading, they forfeit their right to their own free will. Basically, whatever was pre-ordained since before your birth will occur, no matter what you do, because your unchanging palm lines dictate so. I.e. If read that your marriage line indicates a turbulent marriage, it will happen no matter what. Or maybe that’s not the point of palm reading, maybe it just showcases the person’s characteristics and what the action they are more likely to take?”
According to expert palmist Robin Gile (in The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Palmistry):
“The map of your hand shows the clear paths of your life and unexplored roads. It can show your topography–chat parts are fertile for growth, and what parts of you are undeveloped. It can show whee you will encounter the roadblocks and potholes of life.
Your hand is a map of a moment–but how long that moment is differs from hand to hand, and within a hand, over time. Some hands move by day, some by the week, some by the month. (One woman, whose life was in great transition, had her hand change as Robin was reading it!) As your life story progresses and changes, its map, your hand adjusts to reflect those changes. Palmistry is a study of how your had reflects your life.
Your destiny is NOT locked in. Your destiny changes a you do, with the choices you make.

A fork in the road of life
Think of each decision as a fork in the road; each fork leads you in a new direction, to another fork in the road, and so on. So the inactive hand does change. Hands change at different rates of speed.”
Here is an example of one client’s change:
“A librarian Robin knew had been working on her dissertation for years. But all at once, in the weeks immediately after it was accepted, but before she received her Ph.D., her line of success (the Saturn line), grew more than half an inch. “

Wow, thanks for the speedy reply!
I didn’t know it was physically possible for the lines to grow, but then again there are many unexplained things going on in life…
I have never had a palm reading myself, only chatted with a guru for about 20 mins in Jaipur, and a hand was involved.
On the topic of hands, do you know if there is a difference in energy readings between left and right. I’ve heard right is giving energy and left is taking. So if someone asks for your right hand, your energy is open for them to take.

Dear Kat,
The way I understand it, whatever is your dominant hand is where your life is currently at (what has currently manifested in your life) Your other hand is your roadmap. what forks in the road you will probably encounter.
So the left and right hands have an opposite meaning, depending on whether you are left or right-handed.

Another way of looking at the right and left (that seems to resonate well with my hand anlaysis clients) is that the dominant hand (which you use most in your daily life for writing, cooking, tossing balls, etc) is a great representation of YOU in the WORLD — at work, out and about in the commuity and that the non-dominant hand is YOU introspective — who you are in your processing, thinking, most intimate self.
Best,
Peggie

Wow! I never knew that lines change!
“Your destiny is NOT locked in. Your destiny changes a you do, with the choices you make.”
I agree! Life is all about choice! We have a choice as long as it is the one we make!

Hi can I send you a picture of my palm and tell me what my lines mean?

I have a question. Does the scratching of a hand in the same spot (where the fate and the life line intersect) ,for the last four or five weeks approximately, implies that something significant has to happen in my life, or that the lines of palm are changing? thanks in advance for the answer.

This is the first I’ve heard of this, but according to one site, “Since your childhood days, you might have heard your grandmother tell you itching in the right palm means that you are bound to receive money or other such significances.” But before you believe this, I would check out this page of possible medical conditions that can have palm itching as a symptom:

I have a question in regards to the lines on the side of my hand just under my pinky finger, your diagram shows it to be relationships; Which one identifys your current status, do you read from the bottom as current to the bottom of your pinky as future. I have 2 lines. I have been married for 37 years and the bottom crease has always been deep and just above that one and just below my pinky is another one. I had heard about this line to be a relationship line. So from time to time I have look at it and only seen one. But now I realized I am unhappy and wish to end my marriage here soon and have recently noticed another line that was never there before.

What does it really mean to have an M in the middle of your hand?
Does it mean your getting married?
give me answers NOWWW!!!1

Dear Alicia,
Most likely the M in your hand is caused by a confluence of other lines. It most definitely would have nothing to do with getting married. The relationship lines in your hand can be found on the outside edge of your hand. They are horizontal lines which appear under the outside edge of your “pinky” finger.
Good luck.

I am just a beginner, i just want to know which palm should i read is it the left or right (i am a right-handed)but on my left palm my lifeline is shallow, divided into few lines in the middle part of the line, and continues with some breaking line, until it intersects with the fate line and break again to the part above the wrist. I can hardly see the lines, it’s very shallow. Does that means i am going to have a very tough and short life?
