Which School of Feng Shui Should You Use?

Stephen Skinner, Feng Shui Expert, and author of The KISS Guide to Feng Shui

This is a question I was confused about for a long time, and I’ve finally come across what I think is a good answer. Stephen Skinner says in is book, The KISS Guide to Feng Shui, ” ‘Every one’, because they all address parts of the same problem.”

The Form School helps you select the best building site, and accumulate chi most efficiently.

The Compass School helps you determine which kind of chi you accumulate, based on the building’s facing and direction.

The East Life/West Life formula helps you to see if a house is good for you personally.

The East Life/West Life, and Eight Mansion Formulas help you work out your interior layouts.

The Water Dragon Formulas help you increase your wealth.

I’ve read a number of Feng Shui books, and found Stephen Skinner’s book too advanced for new beginners, but excellent for intermediate study.  It covers all of the above areas, and I highly recommend it.  It’s one of the better books out there.

The bagua and the symbols we use to enhance each gua resonate most deeply with us when they speak to our cultural and personal associations. For example, one of my client used to work for Sesame Street. She enhanced her Wealth corner with Elmo, because

  2. Feng Shui as a science can affect the physical, mental, emotional and the spiritual level of an individual. If at the physical level, it relates to the changing in the placement of objects, it can help you achieve mental stability and progress emotionally. And once the emotional balance is created, one can evolve spiritually to the higher self. Experts highlighting the importance of Feng Shui also state that –Feng Shui as an art can help you progress but it can’t change your destiny, unless you work hard to achieve it. Feng Shui is not just placement of articles in the house but it is also connected to your entire well-being.The Chinese exponents of Feng-Shui believe that where you live and how you allocate and arrange the elements of your home or workplace can significantly affect the harmony of your health, wealth, and happiness. Many of Feng Shui’s precepts are based on sound practical sense, others seem to be merely a matter of convention, while for some people Feng Shui lies beyond any rational explanation. For more view- realtydigest.blogspot.com
