From a male point of view, men do prefer voluptuous (not fat) women all over the world. I don't know why, but it seems to be a genetic desire. Feminity gets associated with being voluptuous in a man's mind. It must be because a voluptuous woman is not only pleasing to look at, but she would be better suited to bear a child than a woman who is all skin and bones. Personally, I think Marilyn Monroe is of an ideal weight :-) It is sad to read about Mauretania's "Wife-Fattening Farm" though.
