Success with Reading Tea Leaves, at Last! 2008 Predictions
Today, I had success at last! Having gotten a bit frustrated with initial attempts to read tea leaves, I suddenly got inspired to try again after reading a new internet article. I picked up a new book I received from Amazon and took it to the kitchen with me. It’s called Tea Cup Reading, by Sasha Fenton. I sat and read it while the tea was steeping.
Since it’s early in the new year, I decided to try doing a general reading for myself, for 2008. This is the very first time I’ve ever gotten a clear picture. Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to transfer a picture from my camera phone onto the computer! I just wish I could show it to everyone. It was a huge picture, filling up half of the bottom of the saucer, using up most of the leaves in the cup. It was very clearly a rider on a horse, facing away from the handle. The only other clear symbol I could find seemed to be an inverted cursive “V” in the 3:00 position on the side of the cup, centered between the top and bottom.
I looked up horse in my new book. I was very pleased to see, “A rider on a horse brings good news from far away.” Since it was in the bottom of the cup, I presumed it means later in the year. Then I happened to notice, flipping through the book that, “Dots always symbolize money.” At this point, I saw the entire side of the cup above the rider was filled with dots all the way to the brim! So hopefully, this means I might be receiving good news about money, from far away. I will certainly update this post in the comments section as the year goes on, to let readers know what happens (or doesn’t happen) with this. The book indicates letters “often give the initials of a significant person.” I don’t know anyone with an initial “V,” so I’m hoping it might mean victory in something.
I was so pleased with, and excited by this reading, I immediately brewed another cup of tea to do a second reading for this January, specifically focusing on my career, hobbies, and projects.
This time, in the rim, at about 2:00, there was a very clear map of Asia. Directly underneath, on the bottom of the cup, was a rider on a camel, facing the handle, with the rider’s head directly underneath Asia. Under Asia, I found either a bird, or a butterfly. My first impression was a bird with wings spread, and my later impression was a butterfly. Near the rim at 3:00 I found a small tree, and it was very clear. At 4:00 I found some dots all over from top to bottom. I also found a few dots above the camel rider’s head, about 1:00.
Looking up map, my book says, “A map indicates travel.” While I don’t see myself traveling to Asia, I do know someone who just moved there. My book has nothing about camels, but from a list of interpretations I got off the internet, a camel means, ” You will overcome a burden,” or from another source, “a burden to be patiently borne.”
According to my book, a bird means good news, good luck. The extended wings mean this is a very good omen. As it also appears to be flying, this “can indicate travel, also good ideas that can be translated into money.” If it were a butterfly, it means “a fickle lover, a short-term affair. If surrounded by dots, the inquirer will waste money.” Well, luckily there are no dots surrounding it, and it does look more like a bird. I don’t feel the butterfly is the right interpretation for me.
The tree above can mean, “Recovery from an illness, also ambition, or wishes fulfilled.” This would be great.
The group of dots following in another position certainly seem to mean money.
I’d love to hear anyone’s reactions to these interpretations, and will certainly post updates in the comments as January progresses!
I wonder if I could do a tea-leaf reading for my bank, focused on business and situations there? I don’t see why not. Stay tuned!

I tried tea leaf reading many years ago and found it interesting and accurate. I didn’t pursue it in depth, but along with the symbols, a person’s intuition provides greater details. When I see a horse carrying a rider in visions, it does represent forthcoming news–pleasant or unpleasant. The speed of the horse determines how fast the news will arrive. I would love to see your cup picture. If you have a digital camera, you can download the picture from your camera to your PC. I think you can do the same with the phone, with a certain type of cable.

I would love to show it to you if I could! I have it on my telephone, but my telephone does not accept a cable. I can transfer it with bluetooth to another phone, but not to the computer. I used to be able to transfer to the computer with infrared, but last year we had to get our hard drive wiped, and no longer have the disk to set up the infrared on the computer again, and none of the cybercafes have infrared. So I’m afraid I’m stuck!

My mum did a tea leaf reading for me the other day and I have a picture of a cowboy/rider on a horse which is quite large and distinctive, I would love to send the picture to you so you can tell me your thoughts. Can you possibly let me know where to send it too?
Cheers.

I’d be delighted to look at it, even though I’m a beginner myself. I’d also be delighted to do a post on it (with the photo), and ask other readers readers for interpretations!
Send it to
margotmystic at gmail dot com (no spaces, and using symbols for “at” and “dot”)
Best regards,
Margot
